Our clients a leading Shipping MNC company Headquartered in Glasgow with offices in the USA and Singapore, they manage shore-based operations with professionals having seagoing qualifications with substantial experience onboard on the vessel types they manage.
Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring the implementation of efficient financial systems, managing budgets, and maintaining statutory compliance. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in finance, excellent team management skills, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Flow and Fund Management: Oversee the company’s cash flow, ensuring optimal fund management.
- Develop and implement strategies for cash flow improvement.
- Team Management: Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Implement and monitor processes to drive team performance and productivity.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including employee costings.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Payroll and Tax Compliance: Manage payroll for onshore employees, ensuring tax compliance.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Income Tax, GST, PF, and other relevant regulations.
- Statutory and Board Compliances: Handle statutory compliances such as TP, CBCR, Income Tax, GST, PF, etc.
- Manage board compliances including board meetings, minutes, and company law compliances (MSME, Annual Return, MCA, etc.).
- Vendor and Other Payments: Oversee vendor payments and other financial transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments.
- Customer Invoicing and Debtors Follow-up: Manage customer invoicing and follow up on debtors to ensure timely payments.
- Financial Audits: Lead financial audits including statutory, tax, and GST audits.
- Prepare and present audit findings to the management.
- Management Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly management reporting, including AARO.
- Prepare business proposals for new work, contract reviews, and renewals.
- Fixed Asset Management and Insurance: Manage company fixed assets and oversee insurance renewals.
- IT, TP, and GST Assessments: Handle IT, TP, and GST assessments of the department.
- Internal Requests and Approvals: Approve requests generated internally on MS flows, such as SOA and BRS.
- Approve invoices on Agresso as per authorization limits.
- Bank Account Management: Handle bank user additions, deletions, and new bank account opening compliances.
- Manuals/SOPs Updating: Update financial manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Internal and Non-Financial Audits: Manage internal audits and assist in any other company non-financial audits.
Qualification:
· Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role.
· Strong knowledge of financial regulations and statutory requirements.
· Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Excellent team management and leadership skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MS Office, Agresso).
