The Country Sales Head for Paper in Nigeria and Ghana will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence in the region. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with extensive experience in the paper industry, who can develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, manage a sales team, and foster strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the market landscape, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, ensuring the company meets its business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets in Nigeria and Ghana.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and network with potential clients.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the paper , printing or packaging related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of the paper industry, market dynamics, and customer needs in Nigeria and Ghana.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to leverage technology for sales management.
